FAQ

Q: What does Allegria mean?
A: Allegria is Italian for joy, jubilation, a zest for life. Click here to listen to its pronunciation.

Q: Do you serve drip-coffee?
A: Our expertise lies in espresso, and in an effort to keep our focus on quality espresso, we do not serve drip-coffee.

Q: How many drinks can you serve in one hour?
A: Roughly 30 - 40 drinks per hour.

Q: Do you need special electrical outlets for your equipment?
A: No, we do not. Our machines only require 110-volt outlets to run.

Q: How far will you travel?
A: As far as is necessary. Allegria is based out of La Crosse, WI if you need a reference point.

Q: From where  do you get your espresso beans? Fair-trade? Organic?
A: We get our beans from one source: an award-winning, top-ranked roaster. Fair-trade and/or organic coffee has nothing to do with quality. In fact, simple economics would suggest that fairtrade may even be detrimental to quality. We focus on getting what's seasonally rare and unique. Nonetheless, to secure such coffee, our roaster often pays up to three times fair-trade prices anyway.

Q: What do you suggest for those that are lactose intollerant?
A: Straight espresso. Soy milk will not be considered.
